Job Description

Position: Advanced Salesforce Administrator Duration: Minimum 12 months Location: Remote (Candidates Local to Boston, MA preferred) Work Hours: 35 hrs/week Extension: Highly likely Overview: Under the guidance of the Senior Product Manager or designated supervisor, the Advanced Salesforce Administrator plays a pivotal role in managing our Salesforce environment. This position serves as the primary technical expert, handling everything from backlog management and solution building to deployment. Our Salesforce environment supports over 200 internal and external users across a diverse range of workflows, serving as the backbone for nearly twenty-five products. These include project management for large-scale initiatives, case management for at-risk tenants, financial assistance processing, and internal administrative functions. The effectiveness of our department is closely tied to the functionality and features of Salesforce. Responsibilities: Platform Management: - Respond to help desk tickets from our team members - Manage user accounts, including new setups and deactivations, and oversee license tracking - Configure user access and permissions - Maintain Salesforce and third-party app licenses for internal and external users - Handle data management tasks such as duplicate record management, data quality reviews, and data loading - Prepare the environment for new feature development and oversee feature deployments across different environments - Ensure Salesforce environment health through monitoring, security reports, maintenance tasks, and updates Advanced Administration: - Utilize automation tools to streamline workflows and enhance existing automations - Customize Salesforce Lightning apps by updating page layouts - Develop reports and dashboards to provide actionable data and program metrics - Configure user-driven digital experiences using screen flows - Manage Experience Cloud sites for external users - Configure solutions with third-party applications like Conga, DocuSign, FormAssembly, and others Product Management and Governance Support: - Collaborate with the Senior Product Manager to prioritize and refine product backlog - Assist in project discovery through user interviews, requirement gathering, and drafting feature requests and user stories - Contribute to technical standards adherence within the organization's Salesforce instance Training and Capacity Building: - Support organization-wide capacity building and training initiatives on Salesforce competencies - Onboard new staff into Salesforce environment - Develop and update technical and end-user documentation Minimum Entrance Qualifications: - At least three (3) years of professional experience administering a complex Salesforce instance - Proficiency in building best-practice Salesforce solutions - Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, business, public administration, or related field preferred - Ability to communicate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills - Experience training end users Additional Desired Skills and Qualifications: - Salesforce Administrator certification preferred - Experience with public-facing portals interfacing with internal systems - Background in government or non-profit organizations - Familiarity with business process mapping and requirement gathering
