Position Summary We're seeking a Corporate Development Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in our M&A endeavors. As a key player in our growth strategy, you'll delve into market analysis, facilitate sourcing, conduct due diligence, execute transactions, and contribute to post-close integration efforts. What You'll Do Sourcing & Market Analysis: - Create comprehensive market maps and assess market size while staying abreast of industry trends. - Initiate proactive outreach to potential targets, nurturing a pipeline of M&A opportunities. - Articulate our story effectively, showcasing the mutual benefits to prospects. - Maintain and monitor our M&A pipeline, ensuring alignment with sourcing goals. Due Diligence and Transaction Execution: - Learn to handle sell-side NDAs and oversee initial NDA reviews. - Utilize analytical skills to identify risks and opportunities, gaining a deep understanding of target businesses' financial landscapes. - Manage multiple workstreams, steering acquisitions from LOI to closure with precision and efficiency. - Assist the Director across relevant workstreams and contribute to post-LOI diligence requests. Financial Modeling & Investment Decks: - Assess quality of earnings reports and develop financial models for acquisitions, translating findings into insightful presentations. - Collaborate closely with business owners post-acquisition, refining strategies and tracking progress. - Work in tandem with the FP&A team to integrate models into our broader financial ecosystem. Business Understanding and Growth Contribution: - Cultivate a profound understanding of our business, identifying and capitalizing on revenue growth opportunities. - Grasp revenue drivers, regulatory nuances, and strategic initiatives to bolster sales. - Hone communication skills to articulate business opportunities and foster relationships with founder-owners. Post-Close Integration Activities: - Facilitate the transfer of financial insights to key stakeholders, supporting seamless integration. - Provide ongoing support to business owners, leveraging financial expertise and market knowledge for value creation. - Uphold synergy assumptions and integration budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. - Aid accounting in interpreting historical financial statements. What You'll Need to Succeed - Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and scenario analysis. - Strong command of Microsoft PowerPoint for synthesizing findings and presenting investment theses. - Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels. - Impeccable organizational skills to track details and uphold process integrity. - Humility, openness to feedback, and adeptness in building rapport with diverse individuals. - Driven, ambitious, and self-starting attitude with a commitment to excellence. - Team player mindset, fostering positive relationships and an enjoyable work environment. - Curiosity and a dedication to personal growth. - Detail-oriented with a strategic outlook, adept at proactive problem-solving. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. - 1-3 years of relevant work experience. - Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred, though not mandatory; MBA or Master's degree desirable but not essential. - Strong academic background with a minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
