Position Title: Financial Analyst Location: Rosemead, CA 91770 Pay Rate: $37/hr. on W2 Duration: 12 months or longer Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (Hybrid position: In-office on Tue and Wed, remote option for other days) About the Role: Are you passionate about financial analysis and looking for a dynamic opportunity? We are seeking a talented Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting operational management by providing insightful financial analysis and guidance. Responsibilities: Manage various financial collateral totaling $2-3B, including cash, credits, and escrow Support internal Operations units with administrative requests, edits, and processing Conduct financial mail processing, scanning, filing, and documentation Assist in risk operations and provide operational support Reconcile market calculations and process clearing house statements Handle daily margin reconciliation and credit exposure calculations Upload daily and monthly spot prices into the system of record Administer and manage collateral instruments to support procurement activities Analyze actual costs, prepare revenue recognition, and revenue forecasts Consolidate project data and prepare management reports Assist in adhoc projects for strategic decision-making Calculate standard cost rates and recommend improvements Assist cost center managers in forecasting and budgeting Required Skills/Attributes: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis Proficiency in SAP, Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs), and data management Strong analytical skills and ability to draw logical conclusions from data Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines Positive attitude and open to continuous learning and feedback Effective time management skills Desired Skills: Experience with energy contracts, risk management, or commodity trading systems Knowledge of macros, database queries, and Endur Familiarity with accounting processes and procedures About Us: Our client is a leading electricity supply company serving Southern California.
