Job Description: We are seeking a passionate Full Stack Java Developer with at least 5 years of industry experience. You'll play a key role in modernizing federal systems and operations in the cloud. This project is starting from the ground up, so your initiative and expertise will be crucial in developing and leading a successful DevSecOps and Cloud framework. You'll tackle the challenges of federal security requirements while implementing quality-driven software practices to minimize manual tasks. Responsibilities: Provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environments. Offer high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on moderately complex problems. Apply principles and methods of the functional area of capability to specific task order requirements. Assist consultants and stakeholders with analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for system improvements, optimization, development, and maintenance. Specialize in information systems architecture, networking, telecommunications, automation, communications protocols, risk management, software lifecycle management, software development methodologies, and modeling and simulation. Required Experience: 5+ years of Java development experience. Proficiency with Oracle JDK 1.8.xx and OpenJDK 11. Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and multi-threading. Expertise with back-end technologies such as Java and open-source Java libraries (e.g., Apache Commons, Spring). Experience with HTTP-based web services and related technologies, including JavaScript, HTTP, REST, JSON, and SOAP/XML. Proficiency with databases and SQL. Experience with unit testing using JUnit. Familiarity with modern Java development IDEs (IntelliJ/Eclipse). Basic knowledge of design patterns. Experience in Agile methodologies. Experience in web application development. Knowledge of distributed system design. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or similar. Proficiency in DevOps and related tools (Jenkins, Groovy, Maven, GitLab, shell scripting).
