We are seeking a skilled Training Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing training needs, designing instructional materials, and facilitating learning solutions for technical and non-technical audiences. Key Responsibilities: Conduct needs assessments and job analyses in collaboration with subject matter experts to identify training requirements. Develop comprehensive training plans, including timelines and deliverables such as presentations, job aids, user guides, e-learning modules, and instructor-led sessions. Translate complex technical information into clear and engaging training content suitable for various learning environments. Manage project scope, milestones, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with training objectives. Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions and provide ongoing support to ensure effective knowledge transfer. Proactively manage multiple projects, troubleshoot training issues, and communicate progress updates to stakeholders. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, business, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of five years' experience in instructional design and development of technical training materials. Proficiency in instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia). Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to synthesize information from diverse sources. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience in facilitating training sessions and managing client expectations. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment. Desired Skills: Experience in utility industry training. Proficiency in Visio and SharePoint. Experience in Agile software development and/or SAP/Salesforce implementations.
