Key Responsibilities Network Management: Perform both remote and onsite monitoring of network systems, manage configurations, and oversee operations. Installation and Maintenance: Install, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot wired and wireless data network systems and equipment. Documentation and Planning: Create network diagrams, project plans, and documentation to meet RMF and ATO requirements. Taclane: Activate, configure, and maintain Taclane encryption devices. Network Configuration: Access, troubleshoot, and configure Juniper switches, routers, and Aruba wireless access points and controllers. Security and Monitoring Tools: Utilize government-provided tools like JUNOS Space, Cisco Prime, and Wireshark to manage and monitor data and video networks. System Improvements: Recommend and implement system changes and operational procedures to enhance efficiency. Rapid Response: Quickly detect and resolve network component failures and errors. Perform routine network maintenance and evaluate new system regulations. Collaboration: Work independently and as part of a team, leading others and collaborating with various departments to solve problems efficiently. On-call Support: Be available outside normal business hours to troubleshoot and resolve network issues, implement new configurations, and assist other departments. Technical Expertise: Develop and review network documentation, including SOPs, PPS, RFCs, and RMF. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in computer science or an IT-related field. Certifications: IAT-II certification (e.g., CCNA Security, Security+ CE, GSEC, GICSP, SSCP, CySA+). Juniper and/or Cisco certification preferred. Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) required within the first six months of employment. Experience: Five years of IT-related experience preferred. Five years of network management experience preferred. Skills: Proficiency with layer 2 switch technologies, layer 3 routing, and wireless network technologies. Strong documentation skills and proficiency with Microsoft Visio. Good communication skills and experience with STIGs and creating STIG checklists. Experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba networking devices preferred. In-depth experience with Juniper devices highly desired. Requirements Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
