As our Senior Cloud Engineer, you will lead our cloud computing initiatives, encompassing design, planning, management, maintenance, and support. Your primary responsibility will be designing, building, and overseeing our cloud-based data infrastructure, pivotal in optimizing our data lake for scalability, reliability, and security. Location: Remote position; candidates must reside in NE, IA, MO, KS, or TX. Key Responsibilities: A Day in Your Life Lead: Design and implement scalable and secure data solutions using Fabric OneLake technology. Manage: Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures supporting data ingestion, processing, storage, and delivery across multiple sources. Oversee: Stay informed about vendor technical solutions in the cloud space. Collaborate: Create data tools to support analytics and optimize product performance for our team. Analyze: Manage the full lifecycle and maintenance of our cloud environment. Team Up: Assist IT teams with integrations into configuration management and deployment tools. Your work directly impacts our mission to help people create a lifestyle they love. Qualifications: Do You Have What It Takes? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years’ experience in network or systems administration/engineering. 2+ years’ cloud experience, proficiency in SQL and Python. Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP; experience with Snowflake, SSIS, or Informatica. Strong understanding of data modeling, governance, security best practices. Experience with Azure DataBricks, Azure Data Factory, and other Azure services. Proficiency with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc. Knowledge of Azure SQL DB, Cosmos DB, or other database technologies. Strong project management and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Fabric OneLake development and management. Familiarity with Azure Data Bricks networking, VNET settings, and firewall rules. Ability to set up linked services within Azure Data Factory and execute ADB notebooks. Experience with on-premises to cloud data migration and hybrid environments. Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions). Understanding of data security practices within cloud environments (encryption, data masking, access control). Monitoring proficiency using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics. Benefits: What’s in It for You?
