Your Role as Senior Director, Marketing and Communications: As the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's narrative and expanding our reach. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a talented team and external partners in crafting and executing strategic initiatives that align with our mission and values. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and oversee the national marketing and communications strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and budgetary considerations. Provide guidance and mentorship to the team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Brand Management: Cultivate and maintain our brand's integrity and visibility both internally and externally. Develop comprehensive strategies to enhance brand awareness and differentiate College Possible within the higher education landscape. Public Relations: Spearhead efforts to elevate College Possible's reputation as a leader in college access and success. Identify opportunities for media engagement, thought leadership, and executive visibility to amplify our impact and reach. Program Marketing: Collaborate with program leaders to effectively market our initiatives to stakeholders. Develop innovative campaigns and leverage market insights to drive program growth and engagement. Strategic Communications: Oversee the development of multi-channel communication strategies, leveraging digital platforms and emerging technologies to engage our audience effectively. Ensure alignment with fundraising objectives and organizational messaging. Site Support: Provide strategic guidance and support to regional sites in their marketing and communication efforts. Develop tailored plans to enhance brand awareness and drive fundraising initiatives. Internal Communications: Implement best practices for internal communication, fostering transparency, engagement, and alignment across the organization. Develop protocols for crisis management and ensure clarity in internal messaging. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in marketing and communications, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Adobe Design Suite, MS Office Suite, G-Suite, and other relevant software. Strong leadership skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
