Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team at a leading medical technology company. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing, forecasting, and budgeting operational expenses to support our company’s strategic goals and objectives. You will collaborate closely with Research and Development (R&D) and General & Administrative (G&A) departments to develop annual budgets and operational forecasts, providing crucial decision support to management. Key Responsibilities: Analyze, forecast, and budget operational expenses, focusing on R&D initiatives and strategic investments. Provide decision support and advice through financial planning, performance monitoring, and variance analysis. Partner with R&D and G&A departments to develop annual budgets and operational forecasts. Conduct financial evaluations of business opportunities, assessing past, present, and future performance. Prepare various financial reports for forecasting, trending, budgeting, and results analysis. Coordinate regular business reviews for functional areas, presenting financial overviews and identifying areas for improvement. Own monthly executive management reporting, consolidating financial performance metrics. Requirements: Education: Master’s or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, or related fields. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, ideally within a similar role. Skills: Proficiency in building complex financial models using ERP/Business Intelligence systems (e.g., SAP, PowerBI). Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends. Special Requirements: Prior experience in cost variance analysis, month-end close processes, and preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Additional Information: This position offers the flexibility of telecommuting and is based at our Dublin, CA office.
