We are seeking a skilled Senior PowerBI Developer for a part-time remote position spanning 3-6 months. This role requires strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI development, contributing 15-20 hours per week to our project. Job Description: Join our client's growing IT team in a pivotal role as a Senior PowerBI Developer. You will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. Collaborating closely with diverse teams, you will translate business requirements into technical specifications, design data models, and implement BI solutions that deliver actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions on Microsoft Azure, encompassing data warehouses, data lakes, and analytical models. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and transform them into technical specifications. Build and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). Create insightful data visualizations and reports using Power BI or similar tools to present findings to business users. Implement robust data security and governance practices to uphold data integrity and confidentiality. Monitor and troubleshoot BI solutions to address performance issues and data discrepancies. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in business intelligence and data analytics. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Engineer, specializing in Microsoft Azure technologies. Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with relational databases like SQL Server and Azure SQL Database. Expertise in Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Analysis Services. Experience designing and implementing data warehouses and dimensional data models. Strong proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar. Familiarity with data security and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is advantageous. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at collaborating across functional teams.
