About the Role The Cloud AutoScaling team is dedicated to enhancing ClickHouse's cloud environment with robust vertical and horizontal auto-scaling capabilities. We are seeking exceptional software engineers to develop and maintain the auto-scaling infrastructure, transforming ClickHouse into a fully functional serverless database solution. Working closely with the core database team and other cloud teams, you will drive continuous improvements in cloud infrastructure for enhanced performance and scalability. What You Will Do Build a cutting-edge Cloud Native platform leveraging public cloud services. Enhance the metrics pipeline and develop algorithms for improved auto-scaling statistics and recommendations. Collaborate on the autoscale and Kubernetes operator to support seamless Vertical and Horizontal Auto-scaling. Partner with ClickHouse core developers and data plane teams to support auto-scaling use cases and internal infrastructure enhancements. Architect and build a robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure. About You You have 5+ years of experience in software development, specializing in scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems. Hands-on experience in building and estimating statistical models and time-series forecasting using large-scale, real-world datasets. Proficiency in Go, C/C++, Java, or similar programming languages. Experience with SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, etc.), R, or equivalent. Familiarity with Data Storage, Ingestion, and Transformation tools such as Spark, Kafka, or similar. Background in developing cloud infrastructure services, preferably with Kubernetes. Passionate about solving data challenges at scale. Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their infrastructure services (e.g., EC2). Full-cycle development experience with strong ownership across high-scale, distributed systems. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within and across engineering teams. Strong problem-solving and production debugging skills. Location: Remote
