Position Title: Software Development Manager Salary Range: $86,260 – $138,906 annually Job Description: Your Role As our Software Development Manager, you will lead our organization's cloud infrastructure optimization efforts, focusing on enhancing automation and operational efficiency across our development processes. This pivotal role involves guiding our cloud transformation journey to ensure scalable, secure, and well-managed infrastructure and application environments that support continuous integration and delivery. You will spearhead strategic planning, deployment, and ongoing improvements while fostering a collaborative culture that encourages innovation and efficiency at scale. This position is remote, requiring residency in Omaha, NE. Key Responsibilities: A Day in the Life Cloud Strategy and Management: Lead the adoption and optimization of cloud services, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Manage cloud resources and services to optimize scalability, security, and performance. Automation with Terraform and Ansible: Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform for efficient Azure environment management. Utilize Ansible for configuration management to ensure consistent deployment standards. CI/CD Pipeline Management with Azure DevOps: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated builds, tests, and deployments. Integrate Terraform and Ansible within pipelines to ensure consistency across environments. Security and Compliance: Implement and manage security protocols within cloud environments to protect data and meet regulatory requirements. Update security measures based on emerging threats and industry standards. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Set up and maintain monitoring tools to track system performance and health. Analyze performance data to optimize cloud resource utilization and reduce costs. Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and lead a team of DevOps engineers and IT professionals. Organize training sessions to enhance team proficiency in cloud technologies and DevOps practices. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Maintain clear communication with business leaders and IT teams to ensure technology aligns with business goals. Deliver presentations on cloud strategy and progress updates to stakeholders. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on new Azure features and DevOps tools. Evaluate and propose new technologies to improve operational efficiency. Cloud Architecture Oversight: Provide strategic direction for cloud architecture, ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies. Supervise the implementation of architectural designs for scalability, performance, and security. Governance and Best Practices: Develop and maintain cloud governance frameworks to ensure compliance and cost management. Promote best practices in cloud architecture, security, and disaster recovery planning. Qualifications: Do You Have What It Takes? Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field. Minimum 7 years of IT experience, preferably in retail. Minimum 5 years of software development experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Management and Agile Frameworks. Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills. Proficiency in Azure, Terraform, Ansible, and Azure DevOps. Experience leading high-performing teams through change is preferred.
